Over 1,300 Students Get The Blues!

It was a blues outbreak.  250 Ralston Elementary School students,  250 King Elementary School students,  370 Byron Middle School students and 450 Monroe Center Elementary School Students came down with the blues courstesy of our Blues In The Schools (BITS) program!  Billy Flynn and Barrelhouse Chuck both did superb jobs entertaining and educating their students on Arpil 27 and 28.  And on the evening of April 27, almost 50 adults got schooled in the blues at the Just Good Listening Room by these two fine artists.
This gets the tally up over 23,000 students who have gotten the blues through the 81 BITS programs Crossroads has run.

Our thanks go out to the Rockford Area Arts Council for their support each year for this important program.  Their funding helps makes these programs a reality. This program is partially supported by a grant from the Rockford Area Arts Council which receives support from the City of Rockford, the Illinois Arts Council and its members.
